| | SQL Server Reporting Services - Training? Can anyone recommend any good training providers or materials for SSRS? We are having to implement this over the summer and therefore we are having to skill up on a very short time-scale.
Thanks | |

| | We're sourcing training from QA-IQ (http://www.qa-iq.com/) and have the first folks going out for a course next Monday. I'll let you know what feedback they provide :)

| | Hi,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you but I've been off ill :( Back in fine fettle now though :) The feedback I have had from our guys on the training is somewhat mixed. They're a little disenchanted with the product which is making it difficult for them to assess the training objectively. It sounds like the QA-IQ offering is good but that reporting services really isn't the product that fills the niche here that we thought it would.
So, I guess in summary our assessment of the QA-IQ offering is that the training is good (as we pretty much expected from prior experience) but that reporting services might not be the product we need here.

Thanks for the feedback Gareth. I've booked some 1 to 1 training with a local provider in a few weeks time. I've had some sample reports provided by the software company who are providing our student records system and they are quite daunting, so I'll have to see how I get on after training.
I'd be interested in hearing which solution you decide to go for in the end.
