Administering large environments is an important and challenging job. Microsoft released Best Practices Analyzer tools, network administrators now have new utilities to help maintain the health and optimal performance of Microsoft Technology within their organization.  

Microsoft like to think of these tools as a “Microsoft Engineer in a box”, each tool represents an encoding of Microsoft's Knowledge Base in an automated, continually-updated format that makes it easy for you to monitor and optimize Microsoft Technology

I use these tools day to day to help diagnose issues in customer environment and so thought it would be good to share these tools with everyone in the community to help them when it comes down to finding issues or use them as preventative possible problems before they happen, some people will have seen them others won’t know they are there

You will find that I have posted the different tools to the different areas of the EDUCOMS site rather than putting them in a single place so that people will see them depending on the product they are having issues with, one single document so people can store that safe somewhere off line and have quick easy access to the links when needed is available in the server section   https://www.educoms.net/Infrastructure/WindowsServer/Pages/default.aspx 

You will find some of the tools are integrated into the new products that are being released ( eg Exchange best practice, which is part of 2007 but you can still get the tool for download for 2003 as well  )
